When I press the "bake" buttom the second time, my computer don´t responde and stay blocked, is that so hard? :S

second time? with samples=30???
if your computer is old- yes it will so hard . try to change it to 15.

That´s it, my computer is not older, i´ve got it since one year more or less, but I´ll try with 15,,,

By doing this I get some very harsh lightmap, the edges are really pixellated, even with samples=32, which I think it's the maximum... how can I avoid this? XD Yours seem so smooth

Only missing: Lightmaps from the shorts. Maybe, make the gloves in the same color like the shorts? Generate the lightmaps for the shorts and make a public upload ;-)

Well thanks! I didn´t want to do all the lightmaps cause It´s hard to do it and I want show the results! but I´m going to do this! ^__^ and I´ll upload later!

You can speed up the render by this settings: (on your computer, only 1 minute for the shorts)

Open the Shading.
In the Amb Occ tab, change Gather Methode from Raytrace to Approximate.
Set Correction to 0.500
Enable Pixel Cache to give an additional boost speed.
Leave Error at 0.250. Higher error counts will render faster, but are also prone to artefacts.

The look is quite comparable, no grain (noise) and rendering goes by much quicker. Not so accurate than raytracing. I use this settings for animations ;-)

Cool Tutorial, abit stretchy with skip parts here and there, its not like your other Tutorial Videos or as Detailed like XNAaral where you just watch the Tutorial, that Video is abit long and confusing

Thanks for the excellent tutorial AtlantiB (I wanted to try much earlier but I had not much time ). Lightmap is rendering as I type this.

So slow...lazy laptop!

Edit:

I screwed up with my first attempt. I was working on the DLC people's choice, but the diffuse maps have dark parts as well (just like the light maps!)!!

So now I am working on the Jungle pants no gear again. I created these lightmaps with XNAaraL's trick. They look great and it only took a few seconds to make!





(You can use them if you want.)

Now it's time for that Photoshop trick, except that I do no use Photoshop but Paint.NET.

The after-editing was a bit tricky, but I am happy with the result:
